Monday in Manhattan

Greetings from Manhattan
The bus ride to New York is now a familiar thing. Minor inns and exotic discount supermarkets are the landmarks that I use to measure progress, if not location: I know how far along we are, but I have no idea where we are.

Weekend update
So the Westboro Baptist Church didn’t show up on Thursday – they’d been stopped at the border, surprise surprise. I was disappointed by this, because although the sidewalk outside the Cameron House was still a bit of a circus of counter-protestors, it felt a lot like watching the parade without Santa Claus at the end. I was already eager to see The Pastor Phelps Project: A Fundamentalist Cabaret at Summerworks this week, but I’ve been downright giddy ever since I heard that the Westboro Baptist Church will be making a trip to Toronto to protest the show on its opening night.
